Police: Pregnant Rosedale Woman's Death Was Homicide
Baltimore County police reported the ruling on Monday.
The pregnant woman found dead in her Rosedale home Friday night was murdered, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
Summer Shemida Smith, 33, was found injured at her residence in the unit block of Travis Court by her mother, who called 911 at approximately 7:44 p.m. Friday, police said.
Smith had been seriously injured and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, who said the cause of death is not yet being released.
An autopsy is being conducted on the unborn child, who also did not survive, police said.
