Double T Diner Moves Locations - On Wheels

Councilman David Marks shared a photo of the Double T as it prepared for its big move.

PERRY HALL, MD - The Double T Diner is moving a short distance from its old location in Perry Hall, and the restaurant was put on wheels for the journey.

The diner was propped up on Tuesday for the move to its new spot, according to Councilman David Marks, who captured a photo.

The new address is on Belair Road at Brookfield Road.

The move allows CVS to take over the high-visibility corner of Joppa and Ebenezer roads.

Double T paid a contractor $150,000 to attach beams to the bottom of the restaurant and move it, booths intact, to another part of the property, where it will be leasing land from CVS to plant the structure onto a new foundation identical to the one it left behind, The Baltimore Sun reported.

One resident got a close-up look:

In its new digs, about 200 feet away from its former location, the diner plans to reopen by the end of the year. Its last day in business at the old spot was June 11, Patch previously reported.

Prior to its temporary closure, the Perry Hall Double T posted a sign directing patrons to the White Marsh location. That restaurant is a little more than 4 miles away from the Perry Hall Double T Diner.

The Double T has eight diners, in Annapolis, Bel Air, Catonsville, Ellicott City, Frederick, Pasadena, Perry Hall and White Marsh.
