The family of the dog that was killed on Joppa Road Sunday would like to thank everyone who shared our post looking for the driver. He has been located and our family has made peace with him and his actions. He was very apologetic and like any of us could easily do, he panicked. We are looking to move forward after this tragic accident and will be petitioning for speed bumps to be placed on our road. Starting next week, our family and friends will be canvassing the neighborhood asking for signatures in support of this action. They require 75% of the community to sign or it can not happen. There are two daycares, an elementary school, a rec center, and three parks on this road alone and Sidewalks are far and few. If anyone would like to help circulate the signature sheets or come sign it directly at our home, please contact me. As a community we should come together and try to prevent any future accidents.
