Ebenezer Road Closed For Crash Investigation: Police

One person suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash on Ebenezer Road, police said.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A serious crash closed Ebenezer Road Thursday afternoon, police said. One victim suffered injuries that may be life-threatening, according to authorities.

The crash involved two vehicles and a utility pole in the 5800 block of Ebenezer Road, officials said.

One vehicle hit another vehicle and then the pole before 3:15 p.m., police reported.

An employee at the nearby Richardson Farms witnessed the crash and called 911, according to WJZ, which reported she said she could see the fear written on the face of the driver, who appeared to be trying to apply the brakes. Instead, she hit another car and then a telephone pole, the witness said.

Two people were trapped and had to be rescued, and three people in all were injured, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department. A medevac was called to assist, officials said.

As investigators reconstructed the crash, police said Ebenezer Road was likely to be closed "into the evening hours."

Drivers were advised to take White Marsh Boulevard as the alternate route.
