Firefighters Battle Two-Alarm Blaze at House in Long Green

A tanker strike team was called to the fire scene in Baltimore County Monday morning, officials said.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Crews are battling a two-alarm house fire that broke out in the Long Green area Monday morning, officials said.

Glen Arm Road was closed between Cromwell Bridge Road and Notchcliff Road Monday afternoon.

Baltimore County fire officials reported before 10:30 a.m that a house was ablaze in the 11300 block of Manor Road.

Crews were dispatched to the scene at 10:14 a.m., and a tanker strike team was requested, meaning water from an outside source was required for the firefighting efforts.

After 11:15 a.m., crews were continuing to work to put out the fire, officials reported.

Nobody was injured, according to Baltimore County EMS Lieutenant Tim Rostkowski.

In addition to Baltimore County public safety personnel, firefighters from Fallston and Jarrettsville responded to the incident, Harford County emergency personnel said.

As of 12:30 p.m., Rostkowski said crews continued working at the scene.
