Former Franklin Square Worker Charged In Child Porn Case: Police

Police said a former employee of MedStar Franklin Square has been charged in connection with images of a patient being sexually assaulted.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — An employee at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center has been charged with sex offenses, according to police. Authorities said the investigation began with a tip through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that he may be looking at child pornography.

Detectives found images of a girl being sexually assaulted Sept. 18, 2016, and determined she was a patient at Franklin Square while he was working there, officials said. He is no longer employed by the hospital, according to police.

  • Possession of child pornography
  • Filming a minor engaged in a sex act
  • Sexual abuse of a minor
  • Second-degree sex offense
  • Third-degree sex offense
  • Fourth-degree sex offense

Benson was arrested Thursday, and a preliminary hearing is slated for March 6.
