Gators Shut Out Falcons, 45-0
Perry Hall's offense came alive on Friday night, as the Gators ran and passed at will against Overlea.
At the start of the season, Perry Hall Gators' head coach Keith Robinson suggested that his team's new no-huddle offensive would catch some teams by surprise.
That was certainly the case last Friday night when the Gators varsity football team stymied the Overlea Falcons with a 45-0 win at home in Perry Hall.
Pat Clemons started the scoring barrage with a 6-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. It was the first of three first-quarter scores for the Gators.

Clemons, who added a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and hauled in a 46-yard pass from quarterback Mike DeBaugh in the third quarter, rushed for 78 yards on eight carries and caught three passes for 60 yards.
The Gators (2-0) scored two more times in the second quarter to take a 31-0 lead at halftime. Jake McQuay kicked a 27-yard field goal and DeBaugh hooked up with Antoine Snyder on a 30-yard touchdown pass.

DeBaugh had his varsity football coming-out party against the Falcons (0-2). He completed 13-of-21 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns.
Jamal Craig led all receivers with four catches and 117 yards. He also had a 30-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.
As with any shutout, the defense plays a huge roll. The Gators defense forced four fumbles, snagged two interceptions and sacked the quarterback three times.
Linebacker Matt Ruthke and safety Troy Poole led the defense with four tackles each. Ruthke also added a forced fumble and Poole gathered two sacks and a forced fumble.
Defensive lineman Churemi Osaro and safety Pat Markel were second with four tackles. Defensive lineman Mike Soper and cornerback Rodney Spears each recovered a fumble for the Gators' dominate defense.
The team's two interceptions came courtesy of cornerbacks Quester Campbell and Larry Haynesworth. Campbell returned his 18 yards and Haynesworth was tackled for no gain.
Next up for the Gators is an away game against the Tuscarora Titans of Frederick County on Thursday, Sept. 16. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 PM.
