Governor Visits Franklin Square And Recognizes Richardson Farms

Gov. Larry Hogan made stops around Baltimore County Monday, including in the Perry Hall area.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Gov. Larry Hogan and his team stopped at around 100 sites in Baltimore County on Monday in a whirlwind tour. The day began with a cabinet meeting at CCBC - Essex and then staffers branched out to make contacts around the county, including into the Perry Hall area.

Hogan and Maryland Department of Health Secretary Robert Neal visited Franklin Square Medical Center.

"I was excited to visit with staff and patients..." Hogan said, sharing photos on Facebook of his travels.

"It was an honor to present Sam Moskowitz, president of MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center and a senior vice president for MedStar Health, with an official Governor's citation for his incredible work in the Baltimore County community," Hogan said.

Secretary of Agriculture Joseph Bartenfelder also stopped by Richardson Farms on Ebenezer Road to present the business with special citations, including one from the governor.

The White Marsh business was honored "for our commitment to providing fresh local produce and products since the 1930s," according to a statement from Richardson Farms.

Richardson Farms is a fifth-generation farm in White Marsh that grows 300 acres of vegetables, which are sold at its market. It also sells fresh poultry and baked goods and operates a deli and catering service. The business began in 1930.

Secretary of Natural Resources Mark Belton also visited Gunpowder State Park to check out a restoration project.
