EGG DROP PRICE DROP

  • Where/When: Maryland Science Center, Saturday mornings between 10 a.m. and noon through Feb. 26
  • Why Go: Anyone with an egg receives $3 off basic admission to the science center. Visitors can take their eggs to the "Flight Prep" area where they create a vehicle to safely transport the egg without breaking when launched from the third floor to the floor of the atrium.
  • Price: $3 off standard admission fees

THAT YO-YO GUY

  • Where/When: Rosedale Library, Saturday, Feb. 19, 3:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: School-age children will enjoy an interactive demonstration of science and tricks featuring a bicycle wheel, gyroscope and spin tops.
  • Price: Free

DROP-IN ART ACTIVITIES: TRAVELING TUNES

  • Where/When: Walters Art Museum, Everyday until Feb. 28, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Why Go: In February, the Walters Art Museum will showcase ancient musical instruments. Children can create dragon drums, sweet musical boxes, rattle-like sistrums, and improvisational collages.
  • Price: Free

MABLE SUGAR WEEKENDS

  • Where/When: Oregon Ridge Nature Center, Saturdays and Sundays, Feb. 19 and 20, 26 and 27, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: Hike to the sugar bush, identify a maple tree and learn how to tap the sap. Kids crafts, face painting and syrup are available for purchase.
  • Price: Free
