Greenleigh at Crossroads to Break Ground Off MD 43

A walkable community with shops, homes, offices and a hotel is coming to White Marsh-Middle River.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD – Local and business officials will celebrate the groundbreaking for Greenleigh at Crossroads off MD 43 on Tuesday, May 17.

"There is no other project like this in the county," Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz said in a statement. "This is placemaking at its best."

Greenleigh will be a walkable community with apartments, offices, a hotel and shops on 200 acres. There will be a 5-acre park on the campus, according to the Greenleigh brochure.

Developer St. John Properties will build 1,500 residences, from apartments to condos to townhouses to single-family homes, at Greenleigh, a community within the Baltimore Crossroads development off MD 43 near White Marsh-Middle River.

Somerset Construction and Elm Street Development will participate at the groundbreaking on Tuesday.

Councilwoman Cathy Bevins, a supporter of the project, will be in attendance as well.

"Greenleigh at Crossroads...will bring new jobs and new residents to eastern Baltimore County," Bevins said in a statement.

The groundbreaking will be at noon on Tuesday, May 17, at Baltimore Crossroads, 702 Concourse Circle, Middle River, MD 21220.
