Gunpowder Valley Conservancy Names Councilman Marks, Peggy Perry as "Green Heroes"
The organization made the recognition at its annual fundraiser in Perry Hall.

On September 9th, the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy honored Councilman David Marks and GVC official Peggy Peggy as "Heroes of the Green" for work to improve the local environment.
The GVC aims to improve the health of the Gunpowder River Valley, which drains more than 500 square miles from Pennsylvania to the Chesapeake Bay.
Councilman David Marks has worked with this organization on several activities, including stream restoration along the Jennifer Run in Carney and at the Maryland State Fish and Game Protective Association in Perry Hall. In 2012, he helped add 11 acres of endangered woodland along Ebenezer Road to Honeygo Park.
