Have You Seen This Man? He Walked Away from Franklin Square Hospital

The Baltimore County Police Department is asking for help finding a man who is a ward of the state.

Police say a man who is mentally ill and a ward of the state walked away from Franklin Square Hospital Friday morning.

William Charles Ellis, 60, was wearing green scrubs and a medical boot on one foot when last seen at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday at the hospital in the 9100 block of Franklin Square Drive, officials said.

Ellis suffers from schizophrenia and Asperger’s syndrome, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

He was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and walked away, police said. A search in the area was not successful, according to police.

Ellis is described as a white man who is 6 feet tall, 270 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
