Honoring Oak Crest Volunteers

On April 22, I had the honor of recognizing 267 volunteers at Oak Crest Village who earned the Presidential Service Award. This award is presented to men and women who contribute more than 100 hours each year to volunteer efforts.

Many of the 267 volunteers far exceeded that amount.

Delegate Christian Miele, Senator Kathy Klausmeier, and I also helped recognize Patricia Heitmann as Resident Volunteer of the Year; Eddie Halpin as Student Volunteer of the Year; and Julie Mitchell as Adult Volunteer of the Year.
