Motel Fire In White Marsh Sends Several To Hospital: Officials

Firefighters from White Marsh responded to a motel fire Saturday night where multiple people required medical attention, officials said.

WHITE MARSH, MD โ€” Several people were hospitalized as the result of a motel fire on Route 40 in White Marsh Saturday night. Emergency officials responded to the blaze before 10 p.m. and remained at the scene an hour later investigating.

Firefighters said they were dispatched at 9:50 p.m. to a report of a motel fire, and as they were on the way, they were told people were trapped inside the burning structure at 11165 Pulaski Highway.

Crews found smoke and fire coming from a room at the end of a single-story motel when they arrived, according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company, which had multiple crews at the scene.

Before 11 p.m., the fire company reported its personnel remained on location for the investigation into the fire.
