House Fire In Hydes Breaks Out On New Year's Eve
Firefighters battled a house fire in the Hydes area Sunday evening in below-freezing temperatures.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Crews battled a house fire in Baltimore County Sunday evening. Multiple fire companies responded to the New Year's Eve blaze.
At 8:19 .m., authorities reported that firefighters were dispatched to the 5100 block of Hydes Road.
"...[12] of our members rang in the new year fighting a stubborn house fire in Hydes for more than 6 hours in freezing temperatures," the Providence Volunteer Fire Company reported on New Year's Day.

There was fire showing when crews arrived, according to the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company, which also worked to put out the blaze. Its engine, tanker and squad helped fight the fire. A tanker strike team was also called to the scene, officials said.
The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company reported after 9:30 p.m. that its rehab unit was assisting.
