Joppa Woman Killed After Tree Falls on Car: Police

The crash was reported near Towson Wednesday morning, Baltimore County police said.

A 52-year-old Joppa woman was killed Wednesday morning when a tree fell on her car in Baltimore County, police said.

Rebecca Lowry of Joppa was driving south on Falls Road near Old Pimlico Road at approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday when a tree hit her 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser, according to a report from the Baltimore County Police Department.

Police responded to a report of a tree onto a vehicle and found the car, which had continued for a short distance before coming to rest, according to authorities.

Lowry was pronounced her dead at the scene, police said.

According to the report, there were no other passengers in the vehicle.
