Kamenetz Invites Two County Execs to Playoff Challenge
Baltimore County executive bet a case of wine that the Orioles would outperform the Nationals in Major League Baseball playoffs.

With the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals both playoff-bound, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz made a bet against two of his fellow county executives: Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker.
“I’m going to challenge each of you that our Orioles are going to do better than your Washington Nationals,” Kamenetz said in a YouTube video released Wednesday, in which he was surrounded by his Orioles bobbleheads. “I’ll even up the wager a little by putting in a case of Baltimore County vineyard wine for each of you if, for some reason, your team gets more wins than our team.”
These vineyards were included in the case of wine Kamenetz wagered—”even though they know they will never have to pay off,” according to a statement from Baltimore County officials: Basignani Winery, Boordy Vineyards, DeJon Vineyard, Millstone Cellars, Royal Rabbit Vineyards and Woodhall Wine Cellars.
