Macy's Backstage Opening In White Marsh Mall

WHITE MARSH, MD – A store within a store is coming to Macy's in the White Marsh Mall. "Macy's Backstage" will open later this spring.

The outlet shop within the department store will feature an ever-changing array of products by both new and established brands, plus those that do not carry full lines at Macy's.

Each Backstage location is curated to serve the specific community where it is located.

"If you’re looking for a fashion update, a last-minute gift, or a special treat for yourself, your home, or your pet, we have you covered," Macy’s Senior Vice President of Off Price Michelle Israel said in a statement.

Macy's has 750 stores as well as 70-and-counting Backstage locations. Currently, the other Backstage stores in Maryland are in Gaithersburg and Hyattsville.

Four Macy's Backstage stores will open in June in Maryland, at the following locations:

• White Marsh Mall, opening June 2
• Westfield Annapolis
• St. Charles Towne Center in Waldorf
• The Centre at Salisbury, opening June 16

Macy’s Backstage has a specific buying team dedicated to finding the best products around the world to deliver a constantly changing assortment of on-trend merchandise at 20 to 80 percent off traditional department store prices, according to a statement from Macy's.

"Backstage’s focus on value and newness guarantees that with each visit, shoppers will find an amazingly-priced assortment of recognizable brands and trends," Israel said. "Frequent deliveries ensure there is always a new reason to come in and shop."

Backstage includes apparel for men, women and children; housewares, decor and textiles; cosmetics and beauty products; jewelry; shoes; designer handbags; active wear; and accessories.

Mobile checkout stations and three-way mirrors will be available to assist shoppers, in addition to a team of employees known as the Backstage Crew.

The new outlet store has a grand opening scheduled for June 2 at the White Marsh Mall.
