Man Accused Of Fatally Shooting Teen In Baltimore County

The man was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A Halethorpe man is facing charges after authorities said he fatally shot a 17-year-old on Tuesday.

Marquis Washington, 22, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting that occurred around 5:30 a.m. in the 3800 block of McDowell Lane.

According to Baltimore County police, officers responded to that location after receiving a report of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found the teen suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim, whom police did not identify, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Washington was ordered held without bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 12.
