Man Dies After Crash On Belair Road: Police

Police said a man died nearly a week after he was hit trying to make a turn onto Belair Road.

FULLERTON, MD — A man has died days after a crash on Belair Road, police said Wednesday.

Eddie Louis Bibbs, 54, of the 7500 block of Marks Avenue, died Monday, Dec. 7, according to authorities. He had been taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries following a Dec. 1 crash in the Fullerton area, police reported.

Bibbs had been trying to make a left turn onto Belair Road from Virginia Avenue before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, when his 2019 Volkswagen was hit by a car headed south on Belair Road.

The 2017 Hyundai hit the Volkswagen on the driver's side, police said.

Three passengers in the Hyundai were taken to area hospitals with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, while the driver was uninjured, according to officials.

The Baltimore County Police Department's Crash Investigation Team reported as of Wednesday detectives were still working to determine the factors involved in the deadly crash.
