Man Killed Crossing Route 40: Baltimore County Police

A pedestrian died in a crash on Pulaski Highway near Rossville Boulevard Saturday night, according to Baltimore County police.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A man was killed after being hit by a car in the crosswalk on US 40/Pulaski Highway in Baltimore County over the weekend.

Police said Dominic William Ajello Jr., 39, of the 3300 block of Belsford Court in Dundalk, was hit while crossing Route 40 near Rossville Boulevard.

Ajello was walking in the crosswalk against the pedestrian signal before 7 p.m. Saturday when a Nissan Altima ran into him, according to officials.

The Altima was headed east on Route 40, and its driver remained at the scene, police said.

Ajello was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where officials said he died.

The crash remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department.
