OK, for the rest of you, a medal seems unlikely for Britcher, who was in 15th place after two runs Monday at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Ranked No. 14 in the world, Britcher had a big smile for reporters after Monday’s runs ended.
“It’s the Olympics,” the 19-year-old said in a Baltimore Sun story. “Of course, I’m happy.”

Teammate Erin Hamlin was in medal contention in third place after the first two runs. If Hamlin medals, she would be the first U.S. singles luger to ever medal at the Olympics, the Sun says.
And the third American competing, Kate Hansen, was in 10th place at the finish of Monday’s runs.
