Elkton, Md. โ Former Maryland Delegate Michael Smigiel, who is running against Rep. Andy Harris and is polling ahead of him with 59% support among Republican voters, is scheduled to hold a Town Hall Meeting this upcoming Saturday, the 30th of January of 2016, at the Perry Hall Branch of the Baltimore County Public Library. The meeting will take place from 11 a.m. to 1ย p.m. The library is located at 9685 Honeygo Blvd, Perry Hall, MD, 21128.
Smigiel, who has seen his support surge in recent weeks as voters in the district scrutinize Rep. Harrisโ voting record, stated that he โis truly looking forward to discussing my vision for the district โ I am very encouraged by the feedback and support I am getting from Republicans of all stripes across the district โ the Town Hall meeting will be an opportunity to continue the dialog and continue building momentum toward a victory for our district.โ
The primary election takes place this upcoming April 26th.
Smigiel is highly recognized for his work as a legislator which includes an A+ rating by the NRA (2014), a Defender of Freedom Award (2014), being named Republican of the Year, Cecil County, Maryland (2014), a 100% rating from the Maryland Farm Bureau (2010-2014), the only A + + given (and the highest rating in the Legislature) from the Oath Keepers for upholding his oath to the Constitution in 2014 and the โJohn Shaw Awardโ: the highest award given by Maryland Business for Responsive Government (MBRG) for four years of pro-business votes (2010-2014).
