Michael's Cafe presents The Fourth Edition of the Crab Ball, Spring Jam and Pig Roast

Michael’s Café, a family-owned and operated restaurant known for its award winning crab cakes, will celebrate the fourth edition of The Crab Ball and one year anniversary of the new Patio on Saturday, April 25. This year’s annual event will have a few new twists. The fourth edition of The Crab Ball will feature a FREE outdoor tented concert highlighting four bands, an evening DJ in the inside patio bar, an evening band inside the original bar, an all you can eat pig roast, outdoor bars and plenty of other food options.

Musical talents include:

· Psycho Killers, a Talking Heads tribute band

· Rob Fahey & The Pieces, 3-piece rock band

· Hot Mess, alternative and indy band with a mix of ol’skool

· Legends of Et Cetera, a local neighborhood band comprised of four teenagers rocking out on covers and some original material

Rob Fahey & The Pieces will continue performing for the crowd in the original bar from 9:30 p.m. – close.

From 10 p.m. - close, Michael’s Café will host DJ Calico in the inside patio bar, where the new bar, community table, and fireplace create a hip and modern atmosphere.

New this year, the Crab Ball will feature an all you can eat pig roast for $15.00. Michael’s Café will also be selling their famous homemade crab cakes, made from a secret recipe that dates back over four generations. Additionally, the restaurant will have an outdoor oyster bar with 8 varieties of oysters.

Two outdoor bars will offer specialty beers sponsored by Flying Dog, and a “crush” station back by popular demand.

The patio bar, celebrating it one year anniversary, will be stocked with top shelf liquors, moderately priced wines by the bottle or glass, local wine, and a full array of domestic and imported beers along with local craft beers. Hand crafted cocktails will also be available in the bar and The Patio at Michael’s Cafe.

The Patio at Michael’s Café includes the newly designed indoor bar, outdoor lounge, dining area, and back bar, all of which accommodate up to 120 guests. The indoor space contains a bar, community table, fireplace and restrooms. The exterior space, which was 500 square feet prior to the renovation, is now close to 2,400 square feet.
