Mother's Day Car Parade In Perry Hall Planned

A car parade with a rose theme is planned for Mother's Day in Perry Hall.

PERRY HALL, MD — To wish their loved ones well on Mother's Day, dozens will drive by Brightview Senior Living Perry Hall on Sunday morning. Organizers of the Mother's Day Car Parade said more than 70 people had committed as of Wednesday to participate in Sunday's event.

Here's how it works: Families will drive through the campus in the 9600 block of Belair Road from 10 to 11 a.m.

Mothers will be outside on their balconies or at their windows to watch the car parade go by.

Signs and flowers will adorn the vehicles, in accordance with the "Rose Parade" theme, officials reported. People will not be able to get out of their vehicles during the festivities.

Because of the new coronavirus, visiting has been restricted at nursing homes statewide, meaning it has been months since some residents have seen their relatives.

The car parade will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, at Brightview Perry Hall, 9657 Belair Rd.
