New Principal Named For Perry Hall High School
Principal Andrew Last will be bidding adieu to Perry Hall High School this summer.

PERRY HALL, MD — Perry Hall High School will have a new principal starting with the 2019–2020 academic year. Andrew Last, who has been the principal of Perry Hall High School since 2014, will be retiring from his post. His last day at Perry Hall High School will be June 30.
Last said his official retirement will be at the end of December. However, since principals usually change in the summer, he will be leaving that role and working for the county in some other capacity through the end of the year.
The current Patapsco High School Principal Craig Reed will be the new principal of Perry Hall High School.

As he prepares to turn over leadership, Patch asked Principal Last what his greatest accomplishment has been at Perry Hall High School.
"I believe the most important thing I have done at Perry Hall High is to bring in four new completer programs and a Dance program to the school," Last told Patch. "The completer programs include four courses starting in 9th grade and offer career experiences that culminate in an internship in the senior year. The completer programs are often the same courses that are offered in Magnet Schools. They make school more relevant to a teenager considering what careers they might want to pursue in the future."
