Honeygo Boulevard Gets New Speed Camera: Baltimore County Police
Honeygo is one of four locations in Baltimore County where cameras are being installed.
Have you seen people zooming through the school zone on Honeygo Boulevard?
Not for long, if the Baltimore County Police Department has anything to say about it.
The department is in the process of installing speed cameras at four locations, including Joppa View Elementary.
The cameras will be operational "in the near future," Baltimore County police said on Feb. 3.
The following schools are getting cameras:
- Joppa View Elementary, 8700 block of Honeygo Boulevard
- Windsor Mill, 8200 block of Windsor Mill Road
- Dundalk High, 1900 block of Delvale Road
- Stoneleigh Elementary, 700 block of Stevenson Lane
Once the cameras are in place, drivers will have a 30-day warning period; then citations will go into effect.
Drivers are in violation if they are going at least 12 mph over the posted speed limit, according to police.
