A signal will be installed at an intersection in White Marsh soon, council members announce.

WHITE MARSH, MD – A new traffic light is coming to White Marsh at a well traveled intersection.

Philadelphia at New Forge roads will soon have a traffic light to regulate travel, according to Baltimore County Councilwoman Cathy Bevins, whose district includes White Marsh.

"Advocating on behalf of my constituents and the communities near the intersection of New Forge Road at Philadelphia Road, I am pleased to announce that a traffic signal will be installed to make that intersection safer!" Bevins said in a statement recently.

Councilman David Marks commended the move and the work done to improve the intersection.

"Many residents from the Perry Hall area in the Fifth District cross at this intersection. I appreciate Councilwoman Bevins' work on this issue, which was substantial," Marks said. "I lobbied for this light when I represented this area, and she worked to finish the job."
