Perry Hall Apple Festival 2017: Hours, Activities, Parking

The annual Perry Hall Apple Festival is planned for this weekend. Live bluegrass music is among the offerings this year.

PERRY HALL, MD — This weekend marks the sixth annual Perry Hall Apple Festival.

There will be more than 45 craft vendors and live bluegrass music by the Arrow Horse.

Activities include pie eating contests, face painting, chainsaw sculptures, sack races, hayrides, tractor rides, a miniature hay maze and petting zoo. Pony rides and a wagon ride to the haunted woods are planned.

Admission is free.

The Perry Hall Apple Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, and Sunday, Sept. 17. It is sponsored by the Perry Hall Improvement Association and Chapel Hills Farm & Nursery, which hosts the event at 4350 Chapel Road.

Food vendors will offer festival fare like hot dogs, hamburgers, pit beef, pit turkey, pulled pork, pizza, chicken tenders and fires, plus plenty of funnel cakes, apple cider, kettle corn, candied apples and other baked goods.

Parking will be in the Chapel Hills Farm & Nursery main lot and overflow lot across the street from the farm. Additional parking will be available at the intersection of Chapel and Joppa Roads.
