Perry Hall Chick-fil-A Robber IDed By Witnesses: Police

A man was charged shortly after robbing a Perry Hall restaurant thanks to the help of citizens, police said.

PERRY HALL, MD — Police said witnesses in Perry Hall helped officers make a quick arrest after the Chick-fil-A was robbed Thursday afternoon. According to officials, the cash drawer taken from the restaurant was found in the man's vehicle.

Parrish Owens, 52, of the 5700 block of Adleigh Avenue, is charged with robbery; theft from $100 to under $1,500; and two counts of second-degree assault.

According to the Baltimore County Police Department, officers arrested him "moments after a robbery at a Perry Hall Chick-fil-A ... thanks to the detailed information provided by witnesses."

The robbery at Chick-fil-A in the 8800 block of Belair Road was reported after 1 p.m. Thursday, police said. A man had announced an armed robbery, threatened employees, demanded cash, pushed one worker out of the way and ripped the cash drawer from the register.

During the robbery, witnesses called 911 and gave authorities detailed descriptions of both the suspect and his vehicle.

Police said Owens was pulled over in his Hyundai Tucson on Joppa Road at Avondale Road. The location is about 2.5 miles from the Chick-fil-A. According to officials, both the cash and the cash drawer from Chick-fil-A were recovered.

Owens is being held without bail following a bail review Friday afternoon in Baltimore County District Court.
