PERRY HALL, MD — A Perry Hall liquor store has been reaping rewards during the coronavirus pandemic and is reportedly giving back. The business gave $1,700 to Baltimore County's coronavirus relief fund in the past two weeks, according to WMAR, which reported it expected to give another $1,000 this week and to keep donating in the coming months to help the community.

"Being one of the only businesses allowed to be open, we wanted to give back somehow," Grape & Grain posted on its Facebook page in mid April, weeks after the governor's stay-at-home order went into effect, ordering nonessential businesses to close. "As we go through this weird time in history it is so important to remember your neighbors, friends, families and every single person in beautiful state."

Grape & Grain has been donating to the Baltimore County COVID-19 Response Fund. Managed by the Baltimore Community Foundation, the fund was designed to assist with food for families in need and personal protective equipment for health care workers, among other efforts to support the county and its residents during the new coronavirus pandemic.
