Perry Hall McDonalds to Rebuild in 2017

I would like to thank the management of the Perry Hall McDonald's for cosponsoring with our office tonight's meeting on plans for the restaurant.

Blueprints were distributed to the attendees, and they are presented here for anyone who could not make the meeting.

Permitting for the restaurant will take about a year.  Because the restaurant is located in the Perry Hall commercial revitalization district, the Design Review Panel will evaluate the aesthetics and layout of the building.  The public will also have an opportunity to testify at that time.

Construction will take about four months.

At tonight's meeting, many attendees talked about the hometown feel of the McDonald's, where a group of residents gathers almost every day and concerts are often held for special occasions.   The new restaurant will hopefully combine that atmosphere with a new look.

I also intend to recommend that almost all of the open space to the east of the restaurant be downzoned to limit
