Perry Hall Mom Wins LIVE! with Kelly Prize

Before having her baby this past summer, Kathryn Johnson never had time for talk shows.

But since she started maternity leave from her job as a teacher at Pinewood Elementary in Timonium, she has watched the LIVE! with Regis and Kelly show, now LIVE! with Kelly, almost every day.

It paid off Wednesday morning during the show's daily trivia game when Johnson won a trip to Bermuda.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so excited," she said. "I go back to work on Monday, so I thought, this is my last chance." 

Johnson did more than just watch the show. For months, she took notes and entered the daily contest, including a picture of herself in a Santa hat.

"My husband was like, while you're on maternity leave, you need to win us a prize," she said. "I was determined to win."

She was called Wednesday morning by show producers and asked to set up a Skype account so she could video chat with host Kelly Ripa and guest host Neal Patrick Harris.

They asked her, "How old is Betty White turning in January?"

Johnson said she didn't even have to think about it, quickly answering "90," without hesitation. 

Now she's looking forward to a relaxing trip to Bermuda with husband. Her parents already offered to babysit.

"I don't know all the details. It just sounds so awesome," Johnson said.
