Perry Hall Paint Store Burglary Part of Trend: Police

The Sherwin Williams store robbed this week on Belair Road was not the only paint business targeted, police reported.

Burglars in Baltimore County have been setting their sights on paint stores, including one in Perry Hall.

There have been four paint stores targeted in the White Marsh, Towson and Parkville precincts since Nov. 22, according to weekly crime trend data released Wednesday by the Baltimore County Police Department.

Paint sprayers, money, register draws, a van and a gas card were stolen in the burglaries, police said.

The burglars allegedly used force to get inside the paint stores. In three cases, authorities reported that rear or side doors were pried open and in one case, glass was shattered.

Sherwin Williams in the 8600 block of Belair Road was broken into and cash was stolen between 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, and 6:38 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, officials reported.
