Perry Hall, Carney Scouts Shave Heads for Leukemia Patient
Scouts raised $500 for 3-year-old leukemia patient Jackson Jones.
Some local Boy Scouts lost their hair for a good cause last week.
Members of Carney/Perry Hall Troop 247, chartered by the Baltimore County Game and Fish Protective Association in Parkville, agreed to have their heads shaved to raise money for 3-year-old leukemia patient Jackson Jones, according to scouting volunteer Kimberly Bankard.
Members sold raffle tickets to determine who would shave the heads of scouts Aiden Leyen, Joseph Napoli and Ben Foster, who is Jackson's cousin. Leader Dave Foster also had his head shaved and collected donations from coworkers.

Together they raised $500, according to Bankard.
"The boys and Mr. Dave decided to make a personal donation of shaved heads for a worthwhile cause and distinguished themselves as the kind of generous spirits that come from the scouting program," she wrote in an email to Patch.
