Perry Hall Turkey Trot 5K Course, Time, Registration

PERRY HALL, MD — The fourth annual Turkey Trot 5K in Perry Hall is slated for Thanksgiving morning at the Y in Perry Hall. It is a rain or shine event, so before loading up on turkey, families can get outside and get moving.

Participants may walk or run the 3.1-mile course, which starts and ends at the Y in Perry Hall on Ebenezer Road.

Turkey Trot participants do not have to be current members of the Y. If not a member, registration grants a 30-day free membership.

Registration is from $5 to $45, based on age. For those who register online before 8 p.m. on Nov. 25, the cost is $5 for those 6 and under; $25 for children ages 7 to 17; and $45 for adults. Dogs who register for $15 will get a bandanna. Dogs do not have to register.

There will be a costume contest, with prizes in individual, group and dog categories.

Proceeds from the event go toward financial aid for youths who live at or below the poverty level.

The Perry Hall 5K Turkey Trot will be at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, at the Y in Perry Hall, 4375 Ebenezer Road. Participants should arrive by 8 a.m.

Dogs may attend, and pooches who register in advance get a complimentary bandanna. Strollers are also welcome.

The route for the Y Turkey Trot in Perry Hall travels from Ebenezer Road to Honeygo and back.
