Perry Hall Under Flash Flood, Severe Thunderstorm Warnings
BREAKING: Rapid rainfall and powerful thunderstorms have prompted weather alerts for the Perry Hall area Friday evening.

BALTIMORE, MD — Severe thunderstorms and the potential for flash floods have prompted warnings for the Perry Hall area Friday evening from the National Weather Service. Both are dangerous situations, and people should take cover and not drive through water-covered roads, weather officials advise.
A storm over Kingsville at 5:50 p.m. was packing 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-sized hail, according to the National Weather Service.
At 6:05 p.m., severe thunderstorms from Baltimore City were also headed northeast into Baltimore County, weather officials said, accompanied by 60 mph wind gusts.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 6:45 p.m. Friday for parts of Baltimore and Harford counties as well as Baltimore City. People in the warned areas should move inside away from windows immediately.
Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall, weather officials said. Roads may become blocked, and localized power outages are possible.

"Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm," the National Weather Service warned. "Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning."
Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to flash flooding; a flash flood warning is in effect until 9:45 p.m. Friday.
Do not drive through flooded roads. Turn around; don't drown.
Locations impacted include Baltimore, Middle River, Cockeysville, Aberdeen, Havre de Grace, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Towson, Bel Air South, Essex, Parkville, Bel Air North, Carney, Perry Hall, Rosedale, Rossville, Mays Chapel, Timonium, White Marsh, Fallston and Bowleys Quarters.
