Phoenix Road Bridge to Close for Part of January
The bridge span crosses the Gunpowder Falls and includes part of the NCR Trail.
Transportation officials are closing a bridge that crosses the Gunpowder Falls for inspections this month. The Phoenix Road Bridge will be closed for three separate weekends in January.
Crews will post detour signs around the area during the closures.
On these days, the bridge will be closed for inspections:

- Jan. 7 and 8
- Jan. 14 and 15
- Jan. 21 and 22
A contractor will be on-site taking soil samples.
Those seeking more information should contact the Baltimore City Department of Transportation at 410-396-6935; the city owns the span of bridge that is being inspected, according to county officials.
