"Physics of Superheroes" presentation by Dr. James Kakalios.

Towson University, Saturday, March 12, 2016, 11:00 am-1:00 pm, West Village Ballroom. Free

The Department of Physics, Astronomy and Geosciences at Towson University will be hosting an event on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 11:00am โ€“ 1:00pm in our West Village Ballroom. Dr. James Kakalios, a professor from the University of Minnesota, and author of two popular physics books, will lead a presentation examining the world of physics in the comic book world based on his book, โ€œThe Physics of Superheroesโ€. Dr. Kakalios is a frequent consultant for Hollywood movies, including โ€œWatchmenโ€ and โ€œThe Amazing Spidermanโ€. Attendees will enjoy Towson University Society of Physics students performing physics demonstrations, raffles, and an opportunity to meet Dr. Kakalios to have a copy of his book autographed.
