Police: Juvenile Escapee Apprehended in Montgomery County

The teen had escaped Monday from the Charles Hickey School, a juvenile detention center in Parkville, police reported.

Authorities arrested the teen Wednesday morning who escaped from a Parkville juvenile detention center earlier this week, according to Maryland State Police.

Leondro Ovalles Solano, 17, was apprehended at a motel in Montgomery County at approximately 6 a.m., police reported.

Solano had scaled a fence Monday along with another teen from the Charles Hickey School, where he was incarcerated for a nonviolent offense, police said. Authorities took the other teen into custody Monday evening.

The Maryland State Apprehension Team arrested Solano Wednesday morning shortly after 6 a.m. in Silver Spring, according to police.
