Hazmat Crew Clears Belair Road Business, Officials Say

Emergency personnel said they found no hazards after a call about a potential gas leak.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Officials have given the all-clear after a possible gas leak at a business on Belair Road. No hazards were found after a hazardous materials team evaluated the building, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.

Crews said they were dispatched to a business in the 6700 block of Belair Road due to a suspected gas leak at 10:43 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19.

Five people were evaluated by emergency medical services personnel, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department; all refused to go to the hospital.

Hazmat crews were summoned, and people were advised to use caution in the area. Having found no hazards, crews cleared the scene at approximately 12:15 p.m.
