Ramp Closures from I-95 to I-695 Planned Overnight

Drivers will be detoured from Interstate 95 so crews can resurface the road, transportation officials say.

Baltimore County, MD — Closures will be in effect overnight this week as crews work on the interchange between Interstate 95 and Interstate 695. Workers will be milling the road, and detours will be in effect.

Weather-permitting, the work on the I-95/I-695 interchange is slated for 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Wednesday, July 13, to Thursday, July 14, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.

The ramps from I-95 (from both north and south) to I-695 east will be closed during the work.

Drivers will be detoured onto I-695 west to US 1 south to I-695 east during the closures.

The work is part of the effort to reconstruct I-695 from US 1 to MD 7 as part of the I-95 Improvement Project with Express Toll Lanes, anticipated to be completed by fall 2016, transportation officials say.
