Ramps from I-95 to I-695 Will Close Overnight This Week

Detours will be in place several nights this week on I-95 at I-695, transportation officials say.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The ramps from Interstate 95 to I-695 east will be closed four nights in the next week so workers can repave the road, according to the State Highway Administration.

Drivers coming from I-95 north and south will be detoured to I-695 west (outer loop) to US 1 south to I-695 east (inner loop).

The closures will be in place, weather permitting, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14; Thursday, Sept. 15; Monday, Sept. 19; and Tuesday, Sept. 20.

The work is part of the effort to reconstruct I-695 from US 1 to MD 7 as part of the I-95 Improvement Project with Express Toll Lanes, anticipated to be completed by fall 2016, transportation officials say.
