School Closing/Delay Update from Baltimore County Schools

Blizzard conditions in the forecast have schools, universities changing plans for the weekend.

Baltimore County Public Schools officials are preparing for the blizzard conditions expected to begin Friday afternoon in the area.

By the end of the snow event, there could be up to two feet of snow or more in some parts of the area.

All Baltimore County public schools will be closed on Friday, Jan. 22.

Offices will close four hours early on Friday, according to Baltimore County Public Schools.

After-school and weekend activities are canceled.

Other Schools

CCBC will close at 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, and remain closed Saturday, Jan. 23, and Sunday, Jan. 24. Stay tuned to Facebook and www.ccbcmd.edu for updates.

Goucher College has delayed the start of its spring semester, which will now begin on Tuesday, Jan. 26. Campus access will be restricted to emergency vehicles and essential personnel on Saturday and Sunday morning. The college’s library is closing at 5 p.m. Friday and reopening at 8 a.m. Monday, weather-permitting. Move-in is scheduled for 2-8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday.

Stevenson University will close at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, and will remain closed on Saturday, Jan. 23, and Sunday, Jan. 24. The university will open for normal operations at noon on Monday, Jan. 25. Move-in is rescheduled for Monday at noon and classes will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Towson University is open on Friday, Jan. 22. Campus will be closed on Saturday, Jan. 23, and Sunday, Jan. 24. Student move-in is on for Monday, Jan. 25.
