Search for Perry Hall Girl Expands

The FBI and Baltimore County police team up in search for 12-year-old Jasmine Leighlin Baker, student at Perry Hall Middle School.

After a 12-year-old girl went missing on her way to Perry Hall Middle School Tuesday, the FBI has joined forces with the Baltimore County Police Department to help find her.

Jasmine Leighlin Baker, 12, was last seen at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, walking from her Nottingham home in the 4200 block of Soth Avenue to Perry Hall Middle School at 4300 Ebenezer Road, police said.

Her mother called the school when Jasmine Baker didn’t arrive home in the afternoon and learned her daughter had been absent Tuesday, The Baltimore Sun reported.

The FBI and Clear Channel plan to feature her picture on billboards in the greater Baltimore area, WJZ reported.

It is “not unusual” for the Baltimore County Police Department to team up with the FBI on missing persons cases, as the federal agency has access to additional resources it can bring to the table, The Baltimore Sun said.

Some community members were said to have been handing out flyers on Wednesday to spread the word about the girl’s disappearance.

Anyone with information may contact the Baltimore County Police Department’s White Marsh Precinct at 410-887-5000.
