Sears To Close 3 More Stores In Maryland
Three Sears stores in Maryland will close this spring. Liquidation sales are slated to start this week.

MARYLAND — Sears will close three stores in Maryland, company officials announced Thursday. The locations are in Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Charles counties.
"After careful review, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to close the Sears stores in Annapolis, Baltimore and Waldorf," according to Paige Hidlay, spokesperson for Transformco, which acquired Sears Corporation after it declared bankruptcy.
"The liquidation sales will begin this week and the stores are planned to close in mid-April," Hidlay said. "We encourage customers to continue shopping on Sears.com for all their product needs.

Here are the addresses of the stores slated to close:
- Sears at Westfield Annapolis, 1040 Annapolis Mall, Annapolis, MD 2140.
- Sears at White Marsh Mall, 8200 Perry Hall Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21236.
- Sears at St. Charles Towne Center, 11170 Mall Cir, Waldorf, MD 20603.
Sears declared bankruptcy in October 2018 and by that time already had closed 160 Sears and Kmart locations.

Since then, the retailer has been closing stores in waves as it switches to smaller-store formats.
Sears in the Harford Mall will shutter after Feb. 16. Sears in Cumberland planned to close in February.
