Man Was Targeted In Shooting: Baltimore County Police

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Police said a 23-year-old man was injured in a shooting Friday in the unit block of Shawnee Court. Investigators believe he was targeted, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Officials were called to respond to the shooting at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 12. They found a man who had been shot once in the upper body, and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment, where police said he is expected to survive.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit are "actively investigating" the shooting, officials reported before 9:30 p.m. Friday.

The shooting occurred in the Doncaster Village Apartments, according to WBAL.
