Shoppers Line Up for Perry Hall ALDI Grand Opening
The Thursday morning opening of the grocery store at Perry Hall Crossing was a hit.
A crowd of approximately 170 gathered outside the doors of Perry Hall’s newest supermarket Thursday morning.
ALDI in Perry Hall opened at 9 a.m. and by 8:45 a.m., store officials said there were 170 people waiting outside in line.
At each of its grand openings, the company reports it attracts a crowd by giving out 100 “golden tickets”—gift certificates of varying values—to the first 100 customers.

Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a year’s worth of free produce.

The Perry Hall ALDI is located at the Perry Hall Crossing shopping center, 8808 Belair Road, in Perry Hall. The store will be open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
