Toy Gun Used in Attempted Robbery Near Perry Hall: Police

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Police said that an individual tried to rob someone of a hoverboard near Perry Hall this week.

The suspect pointed a toy gun at the victim around 5 p.m. on Mitnick Road at Moultree Place, police allege.

Since the case was reported as a robbery attempt, the toy gun-wielding suspect was ultimately unsuccessful.

In a neighboring jurisdiction it is a crime to possess a replica gun. Last month, Baltimore enacted a ban on replica guns in the city. Anyone found in violation may be cited and the gun may be confiscated.
