Traffic Alert: Two Crashes Near White Marsh

Collisions slowed commuters during Friday rush hour on Interstate 95.

Two crashes near White Marsh snarled traffic Friday afternoon on Interstate 95.

One collision occurred on I-95 south before the exit for MD 43/White Marsh Boulevard, at mile marker 71.9, according to state transportation officials.

The crash was reported at 4:23 p.m, officials reported. A vehicle overturned in the woods and trapped a person inside, according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company.

By 4:45 p.m., WNEW reported the two right lanes were blocked at MD 43.

By 5:40 p.m., the crash had cleared, transportation officials reported.

According to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company, another collision occurred on I-95 north at mile marker 71.2.

In a report at approximately 4:45 p.m., the fire company said: “We would strongly advise” avoiding I-95 between MD 43 and MD 152.
